The Role

Mini Bus Driver


£11.92 per hour from 1st Sept 2023. (exclusive of holiday pay)


Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 6.15am - 8.30am and 17.15pm - 19.30pm Term Time Only

Wednesday: 6.15am - 8.30am Term Time Only

Friday: 6:15am – 10:00 and 17:15 – 19:30 Term Time Only

Location: Worksop College and Ranby House Prep School

This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the county’s leading Independent Schools. Worksop College and Ranby House Preparatory School are situated in over 350 acres of stunning grounds. Inspiring pupils to succeed in the classroom and beyond, we offer outstanding facilities and deliver high academic standards.


The main role will be transporting pupils to and from airports, stations and other venues including sports fixtures. This will include working some evenings and weekends. You will also be trained on designated College collection routes to convey students safely to and from the College during driver absences.


·        You will work until 10 am on a Friday to enable re fuelling and valeting the buses. 

·        You only work a Wednesday morning as the college does not offer any bus service on a Wednesday evening

·        Drivers work a 21.75 hour week and are scheduled to work 169 days during the academic year 2023-2024.

·        The annual salary is divided by 12 to provide a monthly salary even though drivers do not work during July and August as this is the school summer holidays.

·        Drivers are entitled to a meal in the canteen and are provided with a uniform.


The attributes that we are looking for are:


·        Ideally D1 held on driving licence holders.

·        Experience of driving minibus or larger vehicle.

·        Ability to work on your own.

·        A polite, helpful demeanour

·        Smart and well-presented
